# Delete organization

> Soft deletes an organization by its internal ID or `externalSourceId`. The organization is marked as deleted but not permanently removed. Deletion cascades to employees, policy documents, and integrations. Returns 403 when the organization does not exist or the authenticated user is not an administrator of it.
